Ybor City is named after the man who came to Tampa and purchased 44 acres of land to build cigar factories, Vincente Martinez Ybor. The rest, as they say, is history. Original Courthouse

The original Hillsborough County Courthouse was designed by the same architect that designed the Tampa Bay Hotel (now University of Tampa). Unfortnately, it no longer stands, but will always exist in Tampa’s history. An image from days gone by, dyed with coffee, and complete with circa.
